All TMS dyslexic students will be monitored and assessed by Mrs. Kirchner. Dyslexic students in Mrs. Kirchner's reading class will be provided with intervention during class each day. Intervention will be provided as needed for dyslexic students not enrolled in Mrs. Kirchner's reading class.

At TMS, we follow the Texas Education Agency requirement that a committee of knowledgeable persons must determine if a student has dyslexic characteristics. Once the two part model to determine dyslexia is complete, the committee meets and makes a recommendation which central administration staff members review.
